INFRASTRUCTURE & UTILITIES:
Butuan has good roads and has a good mix of land, water and air transport. Daily flights to Cebu and direct flights to Manila everyday are available. International Port nearby Nasipit, Agusan del Norte, caters to domestic and international shipping needs. There are 16 private banks and 4 government banks in the city.

TRANSPORTATION:
Butuan is accesible by plane from Manila and Cebu. It has one domestic airport about 6.5 km. (10 minutes) from the city proper. Flying time is approximately one hour and fifteen minutes (Butuan-Manila) and thirty minutes (Butuan-Cebu). PAL have daily flights to manila and Air Philippines flies three times a week to Cebu. A Terminal fee of Php 35.00 is charged to all departing passengers.

Sea transport is also available via WG&A and Sulpicio lines. Fare vary according to accomodation. Butuan to Manila (36 hours), Cebu (12 Hours), and Bohol (8 Hours).

Land transportation to any point of Mindanao is also available. Buses ply the routes from Butuan to other cities and provinces of the region. In the City proper, bright colored tricycles are common and they go around in most parts of the city. jeepny's ply along the main city streets. Cars for hire are available in most hotels and in the airport but are not metered, so remember to agree on the fares first before boarding.
